The PMPL Africa is the biggest PUBG Mobile African event, both for talents and the prize pool as its got the highest stakes so far. The last PMPL Africa spring split saw some of the most exciting matches and the rising skill levels of the African teams.
What is the PMPL
The PUBG Mobile Professional league (abbreviated as PMPL) is a professional league series taking place across the world in 5 major regions. It is organised by Tencent Games along with KRAFTON
Schedule
The highly anticipated PMPL Africa will kick start on 30th of august 2022 and will feature 20 teams battling it out for a massive prize pool. The event which will be concluded on the 2nd of October, 2022 will also give teams the chance to qualify to the PMGC 2022, the biggest and grandest stage of PUBG Mobile esports either through the PMGC Points system or qualification to the MEA (Middle East & Africa) Championships.
Format & Prizepool
The PMPL Africa is divided into the League Play and the League Finals, where the League play is divided into 3 weeks consisting of 5 games daily and a 6th game map being livik at Day 5 and at the end of the 3 weeks, the top 16 teams will qualify for the finals with a total prizepool of $100,000
Teams to watch out for
TITANS GAMING, without a doubt the most highly anticipated team to watch for the fans at home and one of the fierce competitors for the participating team as nearly every member has big achievements with 1 team member being a three(3) times Global competitor coupled with the teams most recent performance in the PMPL Preparation League accumulating 218 points and 6 WWCD in 12 games
Fans will also be eager to see the defending African champions Virtual Gaming Esports step up and defend their title against all competitions as the last seasons favourites(Cryptics now One Million Esports) will be expected to step up to the challenge and put up a strong performance from the league stage through the finals as they had failed to qualify for the MEA Championship in the previous finals after a dominating performance in the League Plays
